ACCEF School No 12 (Qipu Elementary School) Overview

广西博白县凤山镇斗垌村启璞小学(原斗垌村小学)

Qipu Elementary School is located in Dou-tong village, Bobai county, Guangxi province in China. Currently there are 638 students and 18 teachers and staff. The current school buildings are about 1135 m2, 938 m2 of which are identified as D-grade dangerous building by the local government and 280 m2 of which were built in 1921. At the same time, the number of students has increased a lot and the current school building cannot provide safe and enough classrooms to the students anymore. The school has to be rebuilt, but as the local government doesn't have enough money, the students are still studying in the dangerous and crowded classrooms.

Currently the school has collected about 145,000 RMB from the local governments, the village council and the villagers' donation. It still needs 65,000 RMB more to rebuild. In order to let the students study in a safe and comfortable classroom as soon as possible, ACCEF decided to donate 65,000 RMB to help them. The money is solely donated by Li Cai and Daniel Chang family (张海明, 蔡丽夫妇).
