ACCEF No. 9 Elementary School is located in Shali, Lingyun county, Guangxi Province in China. Lingyun is a poor county in China. Currently in the school there are 21 students and 1 teacher, who is paid by the local government. The school building is so old and needs to rebuild. As the local government doesn't have enough money, the students are still studying in the dim and unsafe classroom. In order to help the students to have new classrooms, ACCEF donated 52,410 RMB to help rebuild the school. The total rebuilding budget is about 91,000 RMB. The rest of budget will be sponsored by the local government and local volunteers.
The money ACCEF donated to this school are contributed by the classmates from Class 847 of University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) to celebrate USTC's 50th anniversary.
Here're some pictures and documents showing how the school is rebuilt. The school still under construction.
